Executive Orders

This Executive Order requires Federal Agencies to develop and implement a program for conservation of energy and water resources, and requires that appropriate consideration be given to efficient buildings in the leasing process.

  • 30% reduction in energy usage by 2005 for federal agencies
  • 20% reduction in energy usage by 2005 for industrial facilities
  • Water conservation
  • Procurement of products in the top 25% of their class in energy efficiency
